The Around the World Track is a photo journalism school hosted by Youth With A Mission (YWAM), a Christian world-missions organisation. The 'Track' was designed for those with a heart of adventure and a passion for justice. PhotogenX are the creators of the Track and run as an initiative of YWAM.
In 2014-2015, during 21 months of travel, my team visited 6 continents and 22 counties. We spent a year researching refugees and displacement issues before creating a pro-hospitality campaign called Status:Welcomed. We toured for 10 weeks, road-tripping throughout New Zealand and Australia to promote Status:Welcomed and ultimately promoting the understanding of a refugee's plight and our responsibility to respond with compassion.
Status:Welcomed was the fruit of 18 months of effort and me and my team are proud of what we've created.
